Man Charges Ex-Wife For Asking Him To Watch Their Kid On Her Custody Day

Getting divorced when you have kids adds an extra layer of 'complicated' to an already difficult situation, and custody arrangements can get tricky. When you're not living with the person you're co-parenting with, figuring out your schedules in advance is crucial for ensuring adequate childcare backup if something comes up. If you have to rely last-minute on your ex-partner to look after your child on a day you were supposed to have them, it can cause stress and pressure, especially if they have to reschedule things. One dad experienced something similar to this and posted his predicament on Reddit's Am I The A—hole. He explained how his ex-wife had asked him last-minute to watch their child on her day after failing to sort out adequate backup childcare, which meant he had to miss work. He lost money as a result, and so he asked his wife for the money to cover his losses.
